1 week late...

Hey guy my period is 1 week late me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex lots of times this month, last night we had sex and there was two spot of brown discharge so I thought it was my period starting , I put in a tampon the next morning I went to change it and there was no blood on the tampon, what could this mean?
