Fetal Doppler?

I just ordered a fetal Doppler because I thought it would be fun. Has anyone used one? I’ve heard sometimes the heartbeat can’t be found so I’ve prepared myself mentally for that so I don’t panic. Any tips?!

Watching a few YouTube videos helped me with my Sonoline B doppler. I showed my doppler to my ob/gyn office to ask if it was safe to use, and they said it is. So don't let anyone try to tell you otherwise because there are those kind of people that will comment on doppler posts just to say not safe blah blah blah. I found my baby’s heartbeat once around 9 weeks 3 days then couldn’t find it again. I was really starting to panic but managed to find it yesterday!!! At 12 weeks 3 days. So if you buy one don’t be discouraged if you have trouble finding the heartbeat. It takes time patience and practice

I got mine at 8w... almost 11 now and still heard nothing 
I am not panicking 
Just waiting patiently as I know babes is teeny 
Just go in with it as having fun

I love my Doppler. Helps keep me sane between visits to the doctor. I had a hard time finding it consistently but now that I'm 13 weeks I usually find it first try.

It's very hard. Sometimes you'll find it, sometimes you won't. My doctor said every time you try, do it for less than 10 minutes. The thing radiates heat which the baby can feel. He said, if you can't fine it in 10, just try again later. Of course with his 600$ Doppler, he can find it in a second, but with our 30-60$ Doppler, it's not going to be that easy.
