I don’t really feel like going into the specifics, I did something stupid and she has every right to be upset. But we resolved the problem immediately with no consequences to the property. Unfortunately, she all but outright said she would leave us with a bad recommendation when we move out, despite us always paying rent on time, maintaining the property, and being cooperative tenants. My husband says he doesn’t care and wants to list her on our applications regardless. My best friend (who has moved probably 15 times in her life, I trust her judgement) says to fuck that and leave it blank, that if they ask to say we lived with family but they probably won’t ask. I’m not comfortable lying but I’m also not comfortable being homeless. What should we do?
