When did you start your baby on canned baby food?

Trying to decide when to start my little one on baby food. She smacks her lips together when we eat in front of her.

As far as I know ask your doctor but basically not before 6 months no?

I never did store bought baby food, but we didn’t start until 6 months. 
Which is what’s recommended. We skipped cereals/oatmeal and started with veggies then fruits.

Check with baby’s doctor and make sure they meet all of the developmental milestones necessary before starting solids. It’s recommended by most health organizations to wait until 6 months.

I started at 4.5 months. 
But it depends on the baby. If they turn head side to side, can put their mouth around a spoon, take purees or rice cereal without pushing it out with their tounge and can sit up unassisted... Then they are ready. 
Best to consult your pediatrician though.

Four months I gave her homemade purees. Never did can, never would.

In UK they say you can start small at 3months but should still continue with milk...
