Cleaning while pregnant?

Current mamas, what's the doc telling ya? I'm about 5/6 weeks and was going to ask when I do my next bloodwork. Until then I'll let the man of the house do it 😁 and any other helpful tips are welcome

I cleaned just fine. Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, you can physically do just about everything you did before you were pregnant.

Hubby and I are clean freaks and I’ve been using the same cleaning products my entire pregnancy. Yes bleach too. I just make sure to have windows open.

Just go with more natural cleaners. If your using bleach try to minimize your use of it and wear a mask while doing so.

Never asked my midwife. I prefer to do the cleaning, been mostly switched over to making my own products for years anyway. Still occasionally (very carefully) use bleach in the washer, and clean my church once a month with whatever they have (usually Lysol wipes). Make my SO do the cat box, though.

You just have to avoid products with ammonia in them. Other than that, go ahead and clean.

I still clean with everything I used pre-pregnancy. I just make sure I have ventilation and if I don't I wear a mask and take breaks.

Avoid bleach and other toxic chemicals. Vinegar + water makes a great cleaner, but don’t use it on any natural stone (granite, marble, etc) because it’ll etch your beautiful surfaces. My favorite floor cleaner (for tile and stone) is Bona, and it’s Greenguard Certified for safety. I also love everything from Attitude. Puracy is another good brand. 
Pregnancy is a great time to switch to non-toxic, natural products and figure out which ones you like since you definitely don’t want to use any toxins around a baby once she arrives. My son loves licking my kitchen floor, the bathtub, my mirrors...just about any surface he can find🙄

If you don’t have a high risk pregnancy, go hard and clean away! But never clean with any chemicals!.

You can do whatever you did before pregnancy, just open the windows if you’re using anything with strong fumes.
