Should I mention this in the public or private review of Airbnb?
My school gave me money to travel to England and do research. I have family who live in England and I'll be staying with them for the majority of my stay, but I had to get my own place for a few days because they had stuff going on, so I got an Airbnb. With the money I saved from procuring a free place to stay for the majority of my time, I splurged a little on my Airbnb. I got a place that is $170 a night, and is in a great location in central London. The place is cute and chic and a great size for me, but there was one thing wrong with it: the plumbing. When you turn on the washing machine, SEWAGE bubbles up into the shower. There was literal poop floating around in the tub. I'm not even sure if it was my poop. I of course told the landlord and they apologized and said it happens because the building is old, and they sent someone to look at it. I'm not sure if the issue has been resolved because the handyman came when I was out for the day, and the host never sent me an update or anything. Would you mention this in the public review, warning people that shit might come up in the shower? Or would you leave it alone? For the record I'm not trying to complain. I just don't know if it's morally right to warn people that the plumbing is wacky or if I should just write it off as a one time thing. Part of me thinks that if people are paying $170 a night, they shouldn't have to deal with poop coming up the pipes. What would you do?
