🌈💙Jamison’s Birth💙🌈
Good morning Ladies!
⚠️💥Birth Story💥⚠️
We called Thursday 8/23 at 6:45pm to see if there were induction appointment rooms available as directed. I was scheduled for an induction for Chronic Hypertension, history of preeclampsia and GD (controlled by diet) ...

We got checked in around 8pm 8/23 settled into our room... My vitals were checked, a resident Dr came in, then my Dr came in and checked me. I was 1.5/2cm 40% effaced... Soft at -3 station. Contractions started shortly after I was given Oral misoprostol... 🤪Cramp's/contractions started more frequently. A few hours later I was checked again and dilated to 4 cm. I was put on pitocin shortly after the last cervical check. Dr couldn't pop my water because babe was too high still. I bounced on the ball, used the peanut, walked, squatted a ton, and even did the spinning baby thing with my amazing RN. No progress was made all day Friday (8/24)... There was a twin Momma who was 34 weeks that came in at 8pm Friday so they had to stop my induction to help her. Those babies were born later... Everyone was healthy. One twin was 4lbs and the other 6lbs... 😍
8/25 Morning time....my Dr came in. I was given another Oral misoprostol and my Dr was pissed because she told them to give it vaginally. (My Dr is hilarious) I was checked with no progress to report because everything was shut off for the twins. 🤷🏻♀️ Later that afternoon my nurse was hanging out with me and I broke down to my favorite nurse and cried!!! She asked me how I was feeling and I lost it. My Mom left the room so I just let my emotions out. This entire pregnancy I've feared that Jamison would pass away. When we kept losing him on the monitors it freaked me the fuck out. So Dr gave me the Miso and a few hours later I was checked and she was able to pop my water because I was a 5 that could stretch to a 7/8 and 70ish% effaced -1 or -2 station 💙😃😍 Dr was so happy and had a huge smile when she looked up from checking me. I was scared at first because the resident checked me first and she didn't feel much change so my Dr rechecked and BAM!!! Me and my Dr decided to start a little pitocin to give my body a little push... She told me once I was in more pain to feel free to get an epidural. I have a very high pain tolerance. I decided to get it 40 mins later because I know the contractions were getting stronger and I was getting my tubes tied after. . . (Not a great experience) 😣
I got the epidural and they did it a little differently and it worked perfectly. 🤗🙃With my daughter's because of my spine being slightly curved from an accident the epi never worked. 😟 I was told since I was numb that if it felt like I had to 💩 to call the Dr. I had the peanut between my legs to help babe come down. I started to feel the pressure on my bum during contractions and slightly in-between them... But it mostly felt like I needed to pass gas.... So I didn't wanna cry wolf...My Mom and Aunt told me to tell the staff.

The Dr came in and thought we were a little early but checked me anyway. I was 9cm and could stretch to 10 and had a little lip and babe was -1 station still.... Dr said let's do some practice pushes and maybe that'll nudge the baby. I did a push during the next contraction and Dr said NOPE we are ready right now!

The push brought baby down to +1 station or something like that. A couple nurses rushed in with stuff and with the next 3 contractions it was done! With the second push Dr told me to touch my babies head while pushing. 😳😍 It was the coolest feeling. She asked me to keep my hands down there if I could so I can feel my baby coming out, 3rd contraction came and she only needed me to push at half effort. She had me focus on her eyes and she guided me. The 4th push he was out and being put on my chest. 💥😃😭🤗🤱🏻💋🙏🏼

Jamison was perfect to me. I was shocked to see his red hair but it does run in the family. My Dr laughed because I told her how the birth was going to go, at the time she said we will see what happens. (Giggles) She said "wow, you were right and you're a great pusher". This made me feel great.

We were hoping that Jamison was born 8/24 because our daughters were both born on the 24th of their months on Fridays at 7pm so it felt like this was going to happen again but with the twins momma coming in we couldn't continue like we wanted. I am totally ok with him having his own day and time. I am amazed by my sweet rainbow🌈
8/25 8lbs 1.8oz. 20inches and 14.25 head...

After all this my vagina doesn't hurt at all! (I tore a little inside) But my incision for my tubal ligation hurts a lot and my Dr didn't give me any pain meds. The tubal is a entire different story. My belly looks horrible but better than I could imagine it being if I had a csection I suppose.

My heart aches that we decided it was best to do this but it really is best. 8 miscarriages, PCOS and now heart murmur to figure out.
Blessings to everyone! I sure do enjoy my little man!

Someone from my Moms work made this picture for us.

He gives really good pissy looks. Although, he does have issues with gagging and choking on flem or whatever is coming up in his throat. We believe he may have reflux.
