IUD- Weight Gain?

Question

Has anyone gained weight being on an IUD, any kind of IUD? I had “Skyla” and it was hard for me to lose weight and I was slowly gaining. But when I had it removed, I’m dropping pounds easily. 
Can anyone else relate or suggest a different IUD?

I got the Skyla IUD back in June and it hasn’t caused weight gain so far. 
I’ve actually lost some weight because I recently started eating better and exercising more and it doesn’t seem to be affecting my progress at all, which is great!

I actually lost fat after my IUD. But I also had started my vegan lifestyle then too, so it's hard to say. Also I was kinda chunky for the 8 years I was on the pill previously too. Sort of..

I have the mirena and I have gained 15 pounds. Every time i use the IUD, I always have bad side effects. This is the second time I’ve tried it. Honestly, I would do a lot of research on different options and find one that works for you. If you like the pill, Yasmin is a good one. You don’t gain weight and it doesnt have many side effects. But I would definitely look into your options. Or even a hormone free IUD would work well I’m sure. Good luck!

I'm on skyla now and I'm up to 130lbs and I have never weighed over 120
