Bleeding

Help me, I’m so nervous. I’m 6 weeks 1 day and last night noticed a blood streak when I wiped. I went to bed with a liner(really thin) on and woke up in the middle of the night because it was soaked. Changed to a pad and am still bleeding 12 hours later. The blood is red. So far no big clots but some very small ones. Very light cramping, not severe like they are during period time. Called the doctor and was told to wait it out. Is this a miscarriage?
