Whats the difference between Bronzer and contour?!

I watch makeup tutorials and Bronzer and contour seems to go in the same place! I know that Bronzer is meant to warm up your face and contour is to define but when you bronze over contour it just covers it up or ends up looking the same, aggh I'm confused someone help pleaseee😂😂💓

You’re right on bronzing to warm up the face and contour to shape it. You’re suppose to put the bronze directly above your contour not on it. There are cool toned bronzers as well.

Bronzing is to make your face warmed up and look alive because after you apply foundation concealer and powder you start to look pale and dead like. 
Contouring is done with a more cool toned powder opposed to bronzing which is more orange tones. 
Contour is supposed to define your natural features, it’s usually not done right which is why you usually can’t tell a difference. 
Contouring is more precise meanwhile bronzing is more messy you can say.

contour is more on the cool - toned (maybe a bit gray) side of brown, but bronzer is typically more warm toned (maybe a bit more orange ish) personally, i like a cooler toned bronzer, that’s not necessarily as cool toned as a contour, but it still has that bronzing element so it does both. you would use contour to actually shape out cheekbones, temples, and jawline, and bronzer is to warm up those areas to look nice and tan.

Contouring is basically shaping your face. You use bronzer, highlighters, etc to do this. Bronzer is the actual product and contouring is the action.
