Baby shower?

So everybody keeps telling me to have a baby shower for this baby. It’s my second baby. My first born is 5 years old, and a girl. This one is also a girl. 💝 (I obviously had a baby shower for my first born) 
I think second baby showers are tacky depending. Yes, they are by different fathers. And yes, they are 5 years and 6 months apart from each other. What do you ladies think?

If those people want you to have a shower, then they can throw it. Or a sprinkle. Another option is to have a sip ‘n see after the baby is born.

Pregnant with my second girl and not doing a shower. I don’t feel there is a need since I have everything and can buy what I don’t have (diapers and clothes.) maybe I’ll do a sip n see after birth at my house so that this baby is still “celebrated”. But I don’t think a second shower is necessary.

I was a single mom for years with my first........ I’m not having a baby shower...... I’m throwing a pregger Kegger for HIS family and our friends so it’s geared toward him. It will be his families first grandchild 😊. I think second baby showers are tacky too but his family deserves to celebrate their first!

Is it the first one for this father? His family may like to celebrate too. Otherwise I agree with the sip and see after baby. That's what we will be doing.

5 years is a long time between having newborns, so it makes sense that you’ll need some stuff! I have a two year old and don’t even have a lot of newborn stuff anymore bc we have a tiny house and there was no room to store things.
If you want one, I think it would be beneficial as you’ll need new bottles and rags and the like.
