How do you dispose of your used tampons?

I was showing my boyfriend how tampons work because when I asked him he said “don’t you just put it in and pull the string like a confetti popper?” 😂 and I read the little paper and it says to dispose in the trash so I was wondering how many people actually do that.

I always throw them in the trash. They will plug up the septic system, if you flush them.

Throw them away unless you’d like a nice plumber bill when they have to come out and unclog your whole plumbing system

Flushing them destroys your plumbing and eventually a plumber will need to come unclog the pipes and will pull out all the tampons. Throw them in the trash like you’re supposed to. Or get reusable products if you really can’t throw trash away.

It's bad for the water treatment plant to fish out tampons, so I always throw mine in the trash
