Is it safe for baby to sleep in car seat?

The only way my 1month old baby stops crying and sleeps is if he's in his car seat is it okay to let him fall asleep in it for a bit then move him to a flat surface? He has colic and I finally got him to sleep in his car seat of course I won't let him sleep in it all night but just for a bit is it okay?

babies especially that young have no neck and head control so sometimes their head can fall a certain way that can make it easy for them to suffocate pls if you continue to do this pls monitor him at all times my youngest had very bad colic we had to change formula 5 times so take that into consideration too and good luck hun bc I know it's very stressful

No. Positional asphyxiation. A lady just had an 18 month old pass away from this because the babysitter didn't know any better and left her sleeping in her carseat. 18 months old. A year and a half.

No. As others have said young babies lack the neck control to support themselves and can suffocate in a car seat. Try a Rock-n-play. Similar incline, and much safer.

No technically it’s not safe. Google “positional asphyxiation”. When they’re very young with no head control their chin goes to their chest in car seats (and other inclined things like rock and plays or baby slings) and makes them not get enough oxygen (even though they may appear fine).  They can actually suffocate.
