Is it wrong to walk out the shower with a towel on?

My bathroom is right by my bedroom so after a shower i put on my towel and go straight to my room. My mom gets mad i don’t wear a rob or put my pjs on in the bathroom . But people walk in bathrooms with their dirty feet so when i get out the shower and my feet r wet my feet touch the dirty floor and the dirt gets on my feet and on my pjs and now my pjs and blankets have dirt on them. So i get the rob thing but sometimes my rob is dirty. My stepdad and mom have a bathroom n their bedroom so they walk into their room naked or with a towel on and id love to do that to but just ugh. Is it inappropriate with the towel and i should wear a rob or pjs instead? My mom, baby brother, and stepdad are the only people who live here

I don't think it's inappropriate at all but I think your mom might be worried that your little brother will catch a glimpse of something and start asking questions about how the female body works and so on, if you can understand what I mean? 
But I 100% understand your argument and I am also one of those people who prefer to get dressed in my room 🚿

If you're in your own houses there is nothing wrong with walking from the bathroom to your room in a towel. It's not walking through the house naked.

I dont think its a big deal. I personally have never been one of those people that was able to get dressed and ready in the bathroom, straight after the shower. Its wet, humid and hot in there. Thats a terrible combo for trying to dry off, not sweat and be nasty again and then putting on clothes. I personally cant do it. Its like a tug of war against my clothes and myself.

I see nothing wrong. You said that your bathroom is just right next to your bedroom. So you just walk straight to your bedroom and not run around the house with a towel.

Lol I always just walk in a towel unless it's winter I try to use a robe because it's freezing. But maybe ask her for another robe so when one is washing you have another. It might be weird for her because your step dad lives there. That shouldn't be the case but ya know people get worried. Unfortunately until you have your own home you have to do what she wants. It sucks but it is what is it.
