Pregnancy Day?

Hello all,
Just posting because I feel guilty but I called in sick today and frankly, it is just a pregnancy day.  I had sciatic nerve pain so bad last night that I could not get to sleep until 3 AM and only sitting up straight.  I get up at 5 for work so when my alarm went off I was just like this is not worth it.  I also am having bad heart burn today and a bit of trouble out the other end too...sorry TMI.  I am a little cold and shaky...hmm.
I also work 50 hours plus a week and just couldn’t go in today.  How bad should I feel?

Ummm I use pregnancy days all the time! Haha! I work at General Motors so it’s Hoooot in the shop! I don’t want to put anymore stress on my body! So I stay home and sit in the AC. Lol don’t feel bad!

I have taken so many sick days this pregnancy that I’m in the negatives, and luckily they let me get that far! At the end of the day, you’ve gotta rest your body and your mind. When people train for marathons, rest days are a very important part of their training. I see pregnancy as the same thing, except I get to eat more chocolate 😂

Rest is the most important thing for you! During my first trimester I took 2 sick days and worked from home as I could for another 2-3. It felt like a lot and I felt guilty, but listen to your body! No one is thinking poorly of you :)

If you have sick leave, I am a firm believer in using it for these kinds of situations. Take care of yourself. Come in the next day performing at your best!

Lol do not feel bad. That was me last week. Just so exhausted and also dealing with some personal stuff. I “worked from home” on Tuesday (aka responded to like two emails) and then by Wednesday I thought I’d feel good enough to go back to work but I didn’t so I just said I was sick and worked from home again. We are going through a lot, our bodies need some rest! Enjoy your day off and don’t feel guilty :) hope you feel better soon.

I took one today as well and don’t feel bad one bit! I’m on day 5 of puking in the middle of the night and losing everything throughout the day out both ends. Idk if I have a bug or if my morning sickness is back with full force. My nausea medicine that was the bomb a few months ago isn’t even working. I needed a day! Pregnancy days are something I think we completely deserve!

Thats what sick time is for..for days ur sick or just off and not feeling well..dont ever feel bad for taking care of urself and baby..id the conpany really wanted to..they can fire u tomorrow, replace u in a heartbeat and im pretty sure they would feel bad about it.lol
