Should I go for it? Please read first

I’ve wanted to get my nipples pierced a while ago but then they became really popular and I was like “everyone has them, I’m not gonna do it” and they didn’t seem appealing at all to me anymore. Until 2 nights ago when I had a dream about having my right nipple pierced and I really liked it, when I woke up I was like “what I have my nipple pierced?!” And I checked to make sure I was so confused 😂 well ever since I’ve been thinking about doing it, only one of them though. But the problem is that I’m 20 and still live with my parents, I’m a full time student and have a part time job so I can’t afford my own place plus I don’t wanna move out yet. My parents just don’t see the point in piercings, tattoos etc. Whenever I’m home I only wear pyjamas and no bra under, so I’m just worried that the piercing balls will be visible through my tops. Plus my mom has the habit of walking in on me when I shower, change clothes etc because she’s always done it. We’re open with each other so I don’t mind, but she might see it and bet she won’t be happy about it. I’ve never used the lock on my bedroom door and she’ll probably question it if I randomly start doing it after 20 years lol and the one from the bathroom door doesn’t work 🙄 obviously I’m an adult and can do whatever I want, but I’m still living under their roof and they support me with pretty much everything apart from clothes and other personal stuff that I need. So should I just go for it or no? I’m really debating it

I did it and my mom never found out. I dont wear a lot of bras. BUT if you dont have locks on your doors then i dont recommend you get them. You need to be able to clean and soak them and its easier to say you just want more privacy than to explain what youre doing when you have to clean or soak them, which you will be doing a lot with a fresh piercing. I highly recommend you research the aftercare of nipple piercings. Being able to do the aftercare is important and its a bit more intensive than regular piercings. Hard to do in secret if your mom barges in as she pleases

I always wanted my nipples pierced too. I did it while living with my parents but then again they didn’t care what I did with my body as long as I used my money. Plus they never really knew. I did it because I didn’t like my nipples and I thought I would like them more with cute pink rods through them 😂 I was wrong. They were uncomfortable I had to be so careful with them I had them for a whole year and they still hurt! Now, yes everyone is different and yours might heal great (that’s what I thought too) but honestly there are better things to spend your money on in my opinion

I voted no only bc my relationship with my mom was exactly how you described yours. I got my clit pierced at 18 when I was still living with her & I'm 24 now & she still doesn't know 😅 Just wait it out. She will obviously find out bc like you, I would walk around almost naked in front of her & vice versa 😆 You're almost 21, do it for your bday & your parents will probably be more lenient!

For me personally, if you have any doubts, don't.
You can always change your mind, but you can't really go back especially if you're worried about what your mom may feel.
Once you're more independent, probably when you move out, it will be easier to decide if it's definitely what you want.
I really admire your respect for your parents and their feelings while you live in their house.
Decide what's going to be easiest...
A) not having a nipple piercing and waiting 
Or 
B) managing your parents reactions
They may be fine with it but just not get it!

P. S. For the record, I'm a big fan of piercings and tattoos on other people and can't wait to have more of my own

That’s great they support you and everything but it’s YOUR body not theirs and if you want a piercing you should get one you shouldn’t let your parents preferences get involved in your decision especially because you are an adult! they should support whatever u wanna do!!!! Also nipple piercings are dope I say go for it!!!
