Just curious if anyone is hiring a doula. I’m really wanting to give birth naturally and wondering if a doula would be helpful, as this is my first baby. I have to give birth in a hospital, because there are no midwives where I live. There are a few doulas to choose from however. I wouldn’t have ever thought to hire a doula, but the more I read on natural births, the more I keep seeing that it can be helpful. I’ve just heard that some doctors don’t like this and can get defensive if a doula is present. Just wondering what you guys think. Thanks!
