When to tell our parents??? So I have the same job my mother in law works at, I had to tell my manager that I was pregnant cuz my job consists of lifting heavy things, should I tell my mother in law before someone else tells her ??

I just don’t want my MIL finding out from someone else.. I’m stumped cuz we work at the same place; different shifts tho. I’m afraid it’ll get around at my job and she’ll find out.

If you just told your manager hey legally can't tell other staff only people that need to know like other managers or general manager

Your manager shouldn’t share private medical information without your permission but you will probably have coworkers guessing anyway if you are changing your work practices around your pregnancy. A few of my coworkers guessed (but were too polite to say anything) as they noticed I was running to the bathroom a lot (morning sickness).

You should tell your manager that you're keeping it from other people until you're ready to share. We ended up telling our parents pretty early anyway, but if you feel the need to wait, your manager shouldn't say anything.

You’re probably gonna have to just tell her. She’ll find out since it’s the work place. I know my mom & MIL would be upset if they weren’t the first ones to know. I told them right away when I was pregnant with my son and other 2 babies
