Pumping to induce labor?

Question

My moms been suggesting that i try it, and my midwife said it would be a good thing to try. But like....will i actually get milk out if i pump now? I mean itll be colostrum.....but will it actually come out? I dont want to waste it seeing how good its supposed to be for the baby.....
Or will pumping just help kick start the contractions? 
Im 40 weeks and 4 days.....just wanna hold my little munchkin!

My midwife told me to pump to start labor too. If you get colostrum out you can save it. You won’t actually produce milk until your baby is born though. You’ll continue to produce colostrum

It might help but I'd just wait it out and just walk more, even dance a little. I remember going through alot of methods of trying to do induce my labor and my baby came out stressed because of it. Forcing the baby when it's not ready isn't a good idea in my opinion.

I think it's because nipple stimulation is supposed to induce labor naturally. By pumping, you're stimulating the nipples. If colostrum does happen to come out, save it!

If you’re pumping you could store it. I’ve heard of it working but never tried.
