Sorry in advance, this is kinda long

This guy and I hooked up a few times, we go out with each other. We talk about everything, joke around, serious conversation, life goals etc. He asked me questions like when I think I want to have kids, what’s my type of guy. When we cuddle he always hold my hand and kisses the top of my head. He talks about plan to hang out the next time. He said he views us as more than just a hook up. And that if he didn’t like me he wouldn’t be meeting up with me. Whenever I text him he replies and we always hang out on my term. But he doesn’t text me first. He said he’s not big on texting, when we’re together he barely touches his phone unless if it’s for GPS or to check emails from work.

I watched a few YouTube videos and the idea of him not interested in me or not interested in building a relationship with me. Someone even said “why buy the cow if you can get milk for free” which got inside my head. I mean I believe that having sex early in a relationship isn’t necessarily a bad thing. 😓

He’s 26 and I’m 20. I never dated an older man before. I haven’t ask him if we’re just fwb or working toward something more. I don’t wanna be that gal who is oblivious when someone only want to be fwb.

So I texted him today basically asking straight up if we’re just a fwb type of thing, and that I’m asking because I want to have a right midset so there won’t be any confusion. He just simply answered “We are dating” which clears it all up I’m happy but I still don’t know how to shake the feeling of dating someone who never texts me first or barely texting me. Please help.
