Does being small/petite affect pregnancy?

I am 5ft tall and weight 90 pounds. This is my first pregnancy and I am almost 5 weeks pregnant. I am 30 years old. I have been small all my life. The whole pregnancy is so new to me. I am concerned and worried that  being so small might result in difficult pregnancy. I know every pregnancy is different. I was wondering if anybody out there  had  similar experiences. Ditto! I’m small too, but weigh significantly more than you. I wonder how it’ll affect anything! My aunt who is 5 ft said that the aches and pains start earlier because there’s no where for baby to go.

I am just under 5ft tall.and was somewhere around 100 with my dd. I had a great pregnancy. No complications or anything during! She was even 9lbs 4oz when born... my.belly was insanely large and my only real complaint was that my belly got so big i couldnt drive without it touching the steering wheel or do the dishes without getting soaked cause my arms were reaching so far to get the water. I felt like a t rex some days lol

I was 5’1 100lbs when I got pregnant (could wear a kids 10/12) and haven’t had issues throughout the whole pregnancy other than swollen feet and heartburn. I did however gain more weight than most, but I also drink 2-3 gallons of water a day (16-25lbs). Still able to wear my normal clothing, size 24 bottoms fit up until week 36. I truly believe everyone’s pregnancy is different no matter their size.

My mom is 5’1 110 pounds and she had 5 healthy full term babies and they were all natural vaginal births. Seemed like hers were pretty easy and straight forward she didn’t have any issues. She also breastfed each of us for 3 years.

I’m think the only thing it’ll affect is the way your bump goes, you’ll probably look a little bigger but no problems minus maybe some extra aches and pains because you have smaller room for baby. I’m 5’2 but much heavier than you and I’ve had 0 problems and I’m 17 weeks. I’m not even showing still if that helps! I do have some hip pain but nothing major!

My cousin is 4'9" with a petite build and ended up having to have c-sections but otherwise was able to have healthy, normal pregnancies otherwise. Postpartum was rough for her with the c-section due to allergies to the stitches. With her last pregnancy they had to correct it about three months out, but once it was corrected she did fine.

I'm 4'7" and originally weight between 95-100 lbs. I'm 11 weeks and I feel like it takes a lot out of me already. My SO mom makes comments on how I shouldn't be so out of breath all the time already but it feels normal. My hips have gotten huge just to carry the weight I've put on so far excited to see what's to come ! Hope everything goes smooth for you!

My cousin is like 5 foot 3 and maybe 100lbs and she has had 3 kids. All vaginal births and her first was 8lbs+. I'm 5 foot 10 and 190lbs and my 2 pregnancies were harder than hers. Every pregnancy is different thought (like you said) If you're worried talk to your Dr for reassurance

I am 5ft as well and a small girl.  I'm currently 38 weeks and the pregnancy overall has been great.  And I'm carrying a large baby (in the 99th percentile and his daddy was 10lbs 3oz when he was born!)

My mom was 5’0 and 110 pounds when she got pregnant with me, and the same size when she got pregnant with my brother 2 years later. We were both late and big babies (I was 8 lbs 6 oz and my brother was 10 lbs 3 oz), and she said that the worst part was that she ran out of room sooner, so she was uncomfortable longer.
