What to expect

Question

I’ll be induced on Friday going in at midnight on Thursday & I’m a first time mom , what should I expect while being induced.

I’m going in at 6 this evening for induction and I’m a first time mom as well. I’m not dilated or effaced the least little bit so I’ll be finding out tonight. Good luck mama I hope all goes well for you.

I was induced with my first and LOVED it! I went in at 630 am and was hooked up to an iv. Around 8 am they started the potocin and around 10 am my doctor broke my water. Contractions for me were tolerable until around noon when they were getting stronger and closer together. I chose a natural drug free delivery and had my daughter at 1:26 pm. I loved knowing what was happening and when it was happened. It was so nice having her there and telling me we’re breaking your water this is what to expect. And someone was there with me to answer any questions along the way. I’m a planner so having it all so controlled was my favorite part. Thankfully I was lucky and had a quick and easy delivery because I know it doesn’t always go that way. I would love to be induced again this time but unfortunately since we moved and I had to switch doctors my new doctor does not believe in planned inductions. Best of luck!!!
