Postpartum belly band?

Hello! I’m already planning my fast track to get back into shape after this little girl pops out. Has anyone tried a belly band before? I didn’t know they existed when I had my first. Do you think they really work?

I’ve heard really bad things about them from my chiropractor, she had a client who developed atrophy because you don’t use your muscles at all. Then she had to get physical therapy. Your body takes time to heal and it’s your uterus that can take up to two years to go back to prepregnancy size. Give yourselves a break. There shouldn’t be so much pressure to “get back to normal”. You just grew a human.

I highly recommend getting one! Especially if you are having a c section. I'm not sure how helpful they are for natural deliveries because I haven't had one. But I wore it everyday for 2 weeks after my c section and it made me feel more put together (since I felt like I was gonna split open when I walked). And I was back to my pre pregnancy weight and shape less than a month after birth.

Wrapping bellies after birth is a thing in my culture so it’s definitely effective. For the first 6 weeks only though.
When you first give birth try a not so intense wrap then maybe a week or two later use a tight corset or full body corset

My friend told me yesterday to get one (At least I think we’re talking about the same thing). She said that it helps get everything back to the way it was before like your organs since everything has shifted with being pregnant. She’s shared that she thinks things would came out better for her if she wore hers like she was suppose to so she plans to get me one.

Usually the hospital gives you one. But I have had 2 c sections and after I had my two girls I used it and to be the recovery is faster and it helps a lot. When I take it off I feel like I need to put it back on because of the support

I bought the bellefit maternity corset with my last baby.. I was frustrated the first week because I couldn’t fit into it but then was able to about a week later. Praying I can reuse the one I had before. 🤞🏽

I got one after my first after some instagram influencer hyped it up....I think the girdle concept is just a money trap personally. Why not engage your abdominal muscles instead of artificially making them flat. I didn’t really use it and it eventually just started gathering dust in my closet. My abs went back to normal in due time, probably because I was running and also burning a ton of calories while breastfeeding my baby for over a year. If you are looking to save money, I would cut this expense.
