Help?!?

I am planning on having a home birth for my baby......we dont think we want to know whether we have a boy or girl on the way.......i guess my question is are there any moms who have already had a homebirth and had a boy? Did you circumcise him? And how would you go about dealing with that following a home birth?

All for home birth! And we dont want to know gender either. And despite that earlier comment - if you want to be natural and have a home birth, why do something unnatural like circumcision? Just something to think about- it's just a puritanical north American thing.. (of course unless jewish) I wouldn't want someone cutting up my clitorial area.. just food for thought, its you and your partners decision 100%

Here in the Netherlands a lot of people have homebirths. Go for it!
Circumsizing isn’t common here but i know some islamitic and jewish people who planned it in the hospital after a few weeks.

No one who isn’t Jewish circumcises in the uk so I can’t help 🙈 but also debating a Home birth! Hope it works out for you x

I didn’t have a home birth, but I did have a boy. During his first two days of life he had elevated white blood cell counts so they didn’t want to circumcise him in hospital because of this. So on day 4 I think it was, we brought him to have the procedure done by his pediatrician. I felt completely comfortable with this and know that they were very delicate with him. If I have another boy this time I will opt to have our pediatrician do it again. Also, just a warning, you may get some comments here harping on circumcision. It can spark vaccination-like arguments lol, so heads up!
