So yesterday was a very hard day for me. My dad has been struggling with alcoholism for as long as I can remember and even longer then that. 2 weeks ago today he was transferred to ICU because he continued drinking with cirrhosis of the liver, which eventually took his kidneys too. Well on Monday I was told by doctors they have done everything they can do and the only main organ working was his heart. So we had to make the hardest decision to sign the papers to unplug him from life support. He was unplugged yesterday at 5:30pm and passed away at 6pm. He is in a better place with no pain and no struggle with addiction. Unfortunately he will never be able to meet his granddaughter who will be here next week, and the hardest thing is keeping my composure through all of this to not stress or harm my baby girl. He will be watching us from heaven. R.I.P. daddy. You will be missed❤
