If I don’t eat enough due to nausea, will the baby take whatever it needs from my body?

I’ve heard this one a couple of times. But don’t know how true it is.

Answer

Yes. A fetus literally feeds off of you whether or not you’re healthy or nutritionally deficient. It doesn’t just eat because it knows it can, it eats because it needs to in order to survive and develop.
