When did you start getting regular cervix checks

Everyone I’ve talked to said they started getting weekly cervix checks starting at 37 or 38 weeks.

I’m measuring 4 weeks ahead meaning I’m 39 weeks but measuring 43 weeks, so I had been patiently waiting to start getting a cervix check since 37 weeks hoping that that would help get things moving. My midwife hasn’t done a check yet and yesterday I asked about a stretch and sweep because I’m so uncomfortable I’d like to get this moving along. She said we’d “talk about it” next week at my 40 week appt.

Just wondering when everyone else started getting these checks? This is literally the first time I’ve heard of waiting until 40 weeks to even be checked. Even the other midwives said I’d start to be checked at 37 weeks.
