Marfan Syndrome
Hi, I wanted to share a little bit about my son’s connective tissue disorder with everyone cause when I do a search on here just to see what is posted, the answers are horrendous.
- it’s not contagious.
- it affects the whole body’s connective tissues: eyes, heart, are the most concerning.
-enlarged aorta
- can’t play contact sports.
- there is a 50/50 chance of your children being born with it if you have it or spontaneous mutation like my husband and I.
- you can pretty much live a normal life.
- yes you have to take a blood pressure medicine.
