I love hatch rest. It’s on our changing table. There are 8 favorite settings to set any light color and brightness, as well as any white noise and volume. I’ll be using it when he’s older to help soothe him to sleep and wake up like an alarm. You can set those settings and put them on a schedule.

It’s good for diaper changes, then I tap it and the next setting is with the ocean waves going. Then I can set it to turn off by itself too. The bad thing is that you can’t customize the sounds or play music that isn’t on the light already. Good thing is you can control it on your phone. Bad news is you have to be in Bluetooth range, bad for a big house, and the controls are on the bottom of the light, which is hard for my mom to use. Unless you’re committed to using the app, it’s going to be somewhat inconvenient .

I also used an old ipod, paid $2 for an app called White Noise and put it in the crib where he can’t get it. He’s 6 weeks old. You can choose from a TON of white noises, set a timer for them to turn off. You can also create a playlist, so start with waves, then a fan, then frogs, whatever you want.

We also have a cheap white noise machine from my sister in law. I’ll post a photo below. You plug it in, turn it on and push the button of the noise you want. You can change the volume and set a timer. It’s good for immediate soothing while feeding at night, etc. sound quality isn’t great but the heartbeat sound helped soothe my newborn.
