Zika & iui

Nicola

So my husband travelled to Thailand and it's still a Zika risk. We froze sperm prior to the trip to use for the iui. We are now looking at getting my husband tested for Zika even tho he never once got bitten so that we can try naturally as well as the iui. When I messaged my nurse she said a negative result won't change anything and that we still need to abstain for 3 months !!!! What the hell is that about ?? Surely a negative result means he's in the ckear ? Why would the CDC offer a test but then have a fertility clinic refuse the results ?? Seems like a waste of time and cash getting the test done. Anybody had any experience of Zika testing ??
