Bethamethasone Shots?

Doctor scheduled my appointment to receive the round of steroid shots at the end of September, after glucose test. Anyone else prescribed this course? My ob and MFM state I’m at risk for preterm labor, but I don’t know,
I don’t feel like I am 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

I had 2 steroids 24 hours apart on my last pregnancy when my waters broke at 32 weeks, they are so important to have if there’s a risk of preterm labour as they help the baby’s lungs produce surfactant to keep the little lungs from sticking together making breathing easier. They are perfectly safe and won’t harm you or the baby. I don’t really remember any side effects...maybe a little trickier to sleep but nothing major. I’ll be having them next week too as I’m at risk of preterm delivery now in my second pregnancy and baby has just become viable.

Usually there's reasons for being at risk?
Previous preterm? GD/other complications? 
Depending how this glucose test goes I may try to request steroid shots. My last came early..had GD,fundal measured ahead.. he came on own at 37 weeks and had NICU time for his lungs not being ready. And I'm already measuring ahead this time so I'd rather be safe than sorry.

They’re safe and definitely a must if your doctor says you need them.
