My parents did that! Please don't! My sister is called Louise  Ellen and i am called Ellen Laura.... ugh! I hate that she has my name as her middle name! Lol

Maybe similar but not the same. Like my daughter’s middle name is Ivy I would consider Ivory. But I’m not a fan of it but something similar is better than using her actual middle name.

My mom gave me and my sister the same middle name Marie.. we absolutely hate it. It’s already an unoriginal name so for two of us to have it it sucks

My name is Erika Evone and my sister’s name is Whitney Nicole — my Mom named our youngest sister Nicole Evone and she goes by Nikki. 
We love it! And she has always loved that she’s named after her big sisters ☺️

I have a friend who’s family has given every boy born since the 1860’s the middle name Frederick. So he and his brothers all have the same middle name. Because that’s a super old tradition, it’s kinda cool, but there’s really not any other circumstances I can think of where it’d be okay to give your kids the same name. That seems impersonal and thoughtless.
