let me preface this with i know that measurements on the ultrasound are relative and can be off...but my question is when everyone is getting told their baby’s weight is your dr averaging the head, belly and thigh measurements together to get the general size? i ask because when he did these measurements today my baby’s head was measuring like 3 weeks small and her belly and thigh bone were measuring big but then when he averaged it out my baby was measuring about a week behind. he said that’s not concerning. but her head measurement is what scared me. i’m getting monitored for high blood pressure and we’re wanting to at least get to 36 weeks , preferably 37 but it’s day to day at this point. he said baby was 5.7 lbs and was measuring 34w2d but i’m 35w2d. i’m kinda scared my baby is going to be too small. we don’t have a nicu at our hospital so i’m nervous that if she is tiny that this hospital won’t be able to take care of her properly. anyone have any experience or advice to help ease my mind. i’m kinda freaking out.
