Have you sell your wedding gown after the ceremony?

I am debating on what budget to get mine, I just saw one that I really like that cost $2000, is that an average price? And then I’m not sure if I want or keep it (for what?) or not, I am considering to sell it, if so have you sell yours? Was it easy? If I buy mine for $2000 how much should I sell it for? 
The lady at the store was pushy” my wedding is 10/26/18 (soon) and she said I have to decide quick!

With alterations I paid $1700, it sat in my closet for almost 4 years and one day I packed it up and sent it off to be donated. I sent it to a company that makes gowns for Angel babies. Don't regret it one bit.

Omg this is gorgeous! I would pay 2000 gor it in a heartbeat! Personaly i decided to keep my wedding dress but from what I heard yoh can usually sell it fo 30% less than what you paid, provided it’s cleaned and good condition. Check stillwhite.com to get an idea

I paid $600 for mine, but bought the dress off the rack. If I would have ordered it, it would have been $1400. I just got married in June, but am planning on keeping it for sentimental reasons, and as part of an heirloom.

I made my own wedding dress. After the wedding I cut apart the skirt from the top so I could wear the skirt again in the future

My dress is $2,300 plus my accessories. I have zero intention of wearing it after my wedding, but I won’t sell it either. I love the dress and I want to keep it for sentimental reasons. I would also like to keep it for my future daughter. My mum kept hers and while it isn’t me, I am wearing her veil and part of the lace of her dress is being incorporated into mine as I love the design and couldn’t find anything remotely similar (it was handmade lace and is stunning) and am so excited to be able to do that. I would love if my daughter did something similar or to at least have that option.

I did after a few years. I realized I had no intention to rewear or pass down what was basically a maternity wedding gown. My next wedding though, I’ll be keeping that one as an heirloom.

My dress was about $250. I tried to sell it in a tag sale but it didn’t sell. So it’s sitting in a container in the basement. It’s pointless to keep but it feels wasteful to throw it out.
