I’m so sad that I keep doing nice things for my SO and I get nothing in return. For example,

-Cooked his favorite food under a candle light dinner after a horrible day at work

-planned a surprise trip to Hawaii

-made him a cute scavenger hunt that took him to all the places of out “firsts” that lead to a romantic dinner.

- picnic outside and watched the stars

- got him flowers on his deceased moms birthday, took time off work, did a movie sit in.

-and so much more I can’t even think.

I don’t even get acknowledged on my birthday, no flowers, no cute little note.... nothing.

I know relationships aren’t about materialistic things but I explained to him that those things would be nice and it would mean a lot if he put in more effort.

He told me that ‘it’s hard to do nice things for someone whose undeserving”. And I’ve literally put my all into my relationship for the past nine months and still nothing. :(
