Would love some advice. My husband and I have zero family living close by (like no one remotely within long driving distance, even). We’re expecting our first baby in November. Our parents are really excited and want to be here once baby arrives. I definitely want my mom to be here as a source of help and support after the birth, and want my in-laws to have time with the new baby, too. But my husband and I also want some time with just us and the new baby before we both go back to work. Any suggestions about when to have our parents come and how long to have them stay? My husband would rather each set of parents only come for 4 days max at separate times, but I feel bad limiting our parents’ time with their new grand baby so much. Help!
