How do you ladies stay awake while breastfeeding during night feeds?

I keep falling asleep while holding my baby during night feedings ): I need tips for staying awake.

I don’t breastfeed but I watch tv while I feed my LO. Netflix has been my best friend when it come to binge watching in the middle of the night.

I have a dim light on next to me and I’m also just scared shitless to fall asleep with baby so the nervousness keeps me awake

Social media is a big help. Also sometimes I get really focused on making sure she's actively latched the whole time, getting back to sleep is motivation to stay awake! But I also fall asleep sitting up with her on the boppy at least a few times a week!

I worry about this too. I keep the lights off (except for a night light) because I want him to go back to sleep and not get stimulated. I basically just browse social media or read on my phone.

This is why I bedshare. I kept falling asleep as did my baby so I figured we might as well take advantage of the situation so everyone could sleep more

Drink cold water, use your cell phone to read or browse social media, if your partner is up with you have a conversation with them, or watch a video

I have a couple games on my phone for that reason. I don’t turn on lights to avoid her waking up

I read a book on my phone/Kindle. I try not to during the day so I can pay attention to my LO, but at night they say baby will go back to sleep better if you don't engage with them.
