Help! Cramping, no period

I’ve been cramping all day like, severely. It’s mostly on my right side. I’ve never cramped except for after my period has started but I’m not bleeding at all. It was due today but it isn’t uncommon to be late by a day or so so I’m not concerned about pregnancy nor am I asking about that. I’m just wondering if anyone else has this happen? Could I have an infection or something? No other symptoms out of ordinary beside my typical period signs.
