Putting water on evap? Line still there..

Question

Took a test before work this morning, got what I thought was a negative, went to work. 
Came home, looked at the test again (dumb I know), and saw a faint line! I figured it’s an evap.. 
I dipped the test in water to see if evap would disappear.. and the line is still there.. thoughts?

Retest and read within time frame. Evaps can still have color and they settle when dry. Water wont fix that. Water only fixes the grey colored ones.

Evap still I have tried that with test before and it stayed I was never pregnant. Just retest and read within time frame.

If this is an easy @ home test you very well could have a super faint. Give it a couple days it will get darker but these tests as well as they work take awhile to get a good dark line compared to say a frer
