Wall plugs necessary?

Are wall plugs necessary for toddlers? I got some at my shower and I’m contemplating taking them back. Lol my husband thinks the idea is silly. What do y’all think?

Outlet covers? They are absolutely necessary. Honestly that's the only thing we baby proofed because our son was so curious about outlets and always wanted to plug stuff in.

My mom stuck a key in an outlet when she was 3 and got shocked. Toddlers are curious. I wouldn’t chance not having them.

Are you crazy? It’s literally common sense.. babies and toddlers don’t know anything they’re curious .. you could turn your back for a second to make a bottle and the baby could crawl over to an outlet and stick their finger in there.. you got them for free you better be thankful and put those things to use just to be safe 🙄🤦🏾‍♀️

Necessary. Takes 1 minute to put them in, it's not worth the risk to me unless you want to watch your toddler every second of the day.

I would use them. I caught my 15month old cousin trying to shove his fingers in a socket luckily we got him before he did it but it was close.
When my husband was a kid, his neighbor managed to get his fingers in a socket and he ended up severely handicapped mentally and physically. I would just be cautious toddlers will put their fingers in anything

I would say yes, use them. It's better to take all measures possible to keep your kids safe. We cant protect them from everything but we sure as hell try lol.

I stuck a hair clip in an outlet once. Haven’t done it since. Kids are curious.

There have been no known cases where they've actually been known to prevent an accident, and kids learn to pull them out pretty quickly if they actually care, but if they bring you peace of mind, then keep them.
