Working part time or become SAHW...
So I currently work full time in retail, $5 above minimum wage. My husband works as a tool and die machinist and makes 20x my pay.
However, my retail job is a swing schedule (days and hours change every week) but I work anywhere between 36-38 hours and taking 12 units at school. With my husband heading to work (9 pm to 7 am) the same time I get home from work, I never see him and I'm going to school which makes it harder on both of us and it leaves us little time to take care of the house which is ALWAYS a wreck since I'm usually too exhausted to take care of once I get home..
I know he said hed take care of everything and would support me even if i wasn't working, but I really hate to be a burden or run into financial problems down the road...right now all I can afford to pay monthly is my car, electricity, my health insurance and the credit cards which I put a lot of money down on both cards a month to pay them off faster.
With my schedule being as fluid as it is, usually I close the store and get home and 1030 pm some nights then open the next day at 8 am. Some days I may even stay 10 hours at work. I've discussed it with management and there's not much they can do since we have small coverage in my department and its wearing me out A LOT.
Ladies....what should I do??? Should I switch to a part time job or become a SAHW so I can focus on my studies and take care of the house and other duties???? I really really need some positivity because I've officially lost my mind...
Thank you!!!
