How often do you give your baby a bath? I have seen people post that they do it every day and i didnt think you were supposed to.

It's still summer heat in Cali...so between my LO sweating &spilling formula on her neck (bibs don't help) it's almost every other day 4 me plus she gets sooth to sleep almost all night

I asked my Pediatrician and she said I could do it every night for a routine. Which has been helping my LO sleep. Now he has a big 6 hour stretch starting at 8pm. But she said I could just do water sometimes...more of a soak. Lol and she recommended I lotion him up with coconut oil so his skin doesn’t get dried out. So I’ve been doing only every few days with actual soap and washing him. The rest of the time it’s just a soak :)

Yeah you don’t super -need- to bathe your baby every day, but for a routine it’s nice. And since I do baths with baby in the tub, that skin to skin and bonding is so valuable. We just make sure she’s good and lotioned after.

I take my daughter a bath everyday. Especially since she is still a newborn. Newborns still have so much stuff from being in the womb on their bodies (underarms, neck, vagina, ears, etc) and also milk that spills under their neck and it starts to smell. Plus, it being the summer, especially in California, it gets really hot and I just take my daughter a quick lukewarm bath when I feel her body get too warm. Her body hasn’t dried out from me taking her baths everyday maybe because I put coconut oil on her body and hair? I dunno, but everyone is different when it comes to their child and baths🙃

You can do it as much as you want but their skin can become more dry is all because they haven't developed the ability to have oily skin like we do. I notice my little girls skin csn get dry even when I do every other night, I use eucerin non fragrancent lotion and it does wonder.
