Anyone considering a home birth?

I live in the UK and am considering home birth as one of my options. A little while to think about it. This is my second baby.

I live quite rural, and due in winter when roads could be icy, I feel safer going to hospital, plus I kinda don't want to clean up😂 Is that a terrible reason?!?

No. I have a 12 month old and just seconds after his very easy 20 minutes of pushing birth, I had to be rushed into the OR due to a hemorrhage. It was a freak thing that they are still unable to figure out why it happened but if I had been at home, there is zero chance that I would have survived. I ended up needing 5 blood transfusions and two transfusions of platelets. I wasn’t even able to hold my son until 7 hours after his birth. I urge anyone considering a home birth to rethink it.

No. Too many close friends and family have had pregnancies that they would have died from or their child would have died from had they done a home birth.
