Ham and cheese sandwich safe to eat?

So I brought a ham and cheese sandwich for lunch today. Is the ham safe to eat, I read somewhere that deli meat may be harmful.

That's kind of an old guideline. They say it in the event that there's a listeria outbreak with deli meats...  my doc said everything in moderation is fine, even sushi and a glass of wine if I want! (I don't lol). If you're super freaked out, just warm the ham up.

Ugh thanks ! Now I want a fresh bun sandwich lol my weakness. When pregnant with my daughter I ate bologna sandwiches daily. I once ate 4 back to back lmao. And one sign I was pregnant this time , craved the bun sandwich

There hasn’t been a listeria outbreak in the US linked to deli meat since the 90s. You’re fine. You’re more likely to get sick from an unwashed apple.
