Birth control

I'm 16, I am sexually active by choice with my long term boyfriend. My mom does know and we've been talking about birth control and I just want your opinions on which would be better. I want the pill but my mom doesn't think it would be a good idea bc I probably wouldn't take it like I'm supposed to. She wants me to get the depo shot but I've heard really bad things about it. Like how it can make you bleed too much and can make you permanently infertile. I have been pregnant before by another circumstance but I miscarried and I don't want it to happen again anytime soon. I don't have condoms, my boyfriend does but i want to be extra careful. And anybody that comments just to hate please move along. Only mature opinions only. Thank you
