Anyone switch doctors?

So my normal lady doctor who I love and has always taken care of me no longer delivers. So she sent me to the other OB at the practice. This old man stood there and Basically berated my boyfriend and I for not being married. I’m 26 and he’s 28, this baby wasn’t unplanned. We’re adults with jobs and an apartment (we’ll be buying after baby is here, he’s in a first time Home buying program that takes ten months to complete) and our pets. Then had the nerve to say babies are born happy when their parents are married. Babies aren’t aware if there parents are married last I checked. So needless to say I won’t be going back and I’m waiting to hear from another provider. Just wondering if anyone had to switch and if it was easy.

I had to switch doctors for the same reason he had stopped delivering babies but the person recommended was awesome and had no problems I'm sorry that it didn't go as planned for you but I'm sure your baby is thrilled that he or she will have two parents in their life!

Depending on what country you're in sometimes it can be difficult because OBGYN stand not to like people Doctor shopping but if you're willing to drive a little bit away from that doctor you could always say that you're moving that's what I did because the doctor I had did not have a NICU Ward and if she didn't deliver make she's not there that day I just get a regular ER doctor

Oh definitely switch what an arrogant a hole. It shouldn’t be hard and they are not allowed to hold your records hostage! If they work on an EMR/health system it might be easiest to switch within that but you can still do t even if not.
