Does anyone have trouble finding heartbeat on fetal monitor? 17 weeks today, shouldnt i find it easy?

Hi im18+2 and i bought a doppler for peace of mind. The only way i find it it if i tilt the head of the doppler and go under my bump like nearer my pubic bone then go along the bottom of my bump. I never find it on my actual tummy! Its always at the middle under my bump xx

What type of transducer gel are you using with it?

My little man moves too much.  Even Dr can't find it using doppler

I've heard if you have an anterior placenta it might be harder (or take longer) to find baby's heartbeat.

I got my doppler at 12 weeks and have never had any issues finding the heartbeat. Ever since week 16 started its been getting harder and harder for some reason. I’ve still been finding it but it takes longer to track my little guy down.

No, don’t freak out. Drink some cold oj (trust me babies love oj) and then try again later. Could be the way the baby is positioned.

Yes I have problems finding it. Not yes it should be found easily (in my experience it’s really hard to find!!)
