Placenta previa?

Had the routine anatomy scan today and she ended up doing a vaginal ultrasound.. Never did it with my first pregnancy. Turns out I have placenta previa and I’m kind of really concerned from what I’ve read? Does this mean I’m high risk?

Your dr will probably schedule another ultrasound to see if it has moved up. I had the same thing at my 20 week scan and my dr said the placenta moves enough about 90% of the time and not to worry too much. If it doesn’t move, it’s a scheduled c-section but your dr will monitor you and make sure that you deliver safely! Try not to stress 😊

I asked that yo my doctor and he said: “if you want to consider yourself high risk...”
I also was diagnosed with placenta previa at 20w and he scheduled an ultrasound for 28w to see if it moved. He said until then o can leave my life normally. If at 28w my placenta hasn’t moved then I can’t have sex “but I can do other stuff” he said.

I was diagnosed with this as well. I was put on modified bed rest. I am now 20 weeks and they said my placenta is moving in the right direction. Apparently there’s a 50% chance of it fixing itself. I can’t exert myself too much, I’m on pelvic rest, and I get monthly ultrasounds to check the progress. If it doesn’t get better, I’ll have to have a c-section. It isn’t that bad, I can’t work but I worked from home before. I watch a lot of Netflix and keep myself stress free. You need to watch for bleeding, if you bleed call your doctor immediately or head to L&D.

I had it last pregnancy and I was on pelvic rest. It did move up before labor. I didn’t travel anywhere during pelvic rest in case a bleed started. You need to be near a hospital (meaning not hours away on the road or in a plane) if a bleed starts. The concern is that you’ll hemorrhage. I did hemorrhage during labor, and I feel like it has something to do with my placenta being in the wrong spot. It happened as soon as my placenta came out. Luckily I was already in the hospital and my dr took good care of me. Good luck! Just take it easy and try to relax.

I have placenta prévia also I am 24 weeks I go to a specialist now and I had natural early labor with my first baby and now I am on progesterone to keep my cervix closed. But it scared me to death I was depressed and having anxiety but went to the specialist and it’s not as bad as we think and if they see it this early on the ultrasound it almost always moves. Mine was complete at 19 weeks and now it has moved a little bit already. Honestly he hardest part is pelvis rest no sex no orgasm and it sounds easy but for some reason it’s not. But it will be ok just watch for bleeding and if you do just go to hospital. Did they tell you what yours was? Complete or marginal or partial

I was told I have this today too. Tech told me they will just monitor to see if it moved up. If it doesn't, it will end up being a C-section. There are a few risks I read that says severe ones can cause baby to not grow properly or to bleed excessively during birth.
