My 2nd child is 1 month old and I still can’t figure out his sleep cues to help him learn to settle/nap awake at the best time for him.

My 1st would get a glassy, far away look every time and then would settle pretty quickly but I can’t figure my son out. Ideas?

I try to stick to working to get him back to a nap within 1 hour of waking. It’s complicated by his tendency to try to fall asleep nursing (I try to keep him up) and the fact that he nurses much more quickly than his sister did and also that he sometimes doesn’t nurse both sides which makes timing inconsistent, but he’s still young. Thoughts??
