What age is ok to stop birth control?

What’s the best age to stop taking birth control pills, the mini pill?? I am almost 40 years old.

Unless you're using back up contraceptives or have gone through menopause or you want a baby you should keep taking them. Or I suggest and iud nothing to think about for 5 years!

Everybody is different, but here’s my take on things - I stopped BC at 32. We’ve got 2 kids and we’re not planning on having anymore. At 35 I talked to my husband about getting a vasectomy and he agreed. 
I never liked the idea of taking artificial hormones. They made me moody AF and made it easier for me to put on weight and harder to lose it.
Once menopause comes around I won’t be saying no to HRT, so I wanted to give my body as much down time from artificial hormones as I could. I didn’t want to go straight from BC to HRT. 
Your situation could be completely different to mine, so you need to work out what suits you best.
